Coleslaw Topped Sausage in a Bun
Ingredients
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 1/2 tbsps Cow's Milk, Whole
1 1/2 tsps Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
2 cups Coleslaw Mix
1/4 cup Cilantro (chopped)
10 ozs Pork Sausage
1/4 cup Barbecue Sauce (divided)
6 2/3 ozs Whole Wheat Hot Dog Bun
Directions
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, milk, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Add the coleslaw mix and cilantro. Toss to combine and set aside.
Add the sausages to the grill and brush them with barbecue sauce. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until fully cooked, turning them occasionally and brushing with more barbecue sauce.
Meanwhile, grill the buns for one to two minutes until lightly toasted. Place the toasted buns on a platter and put a cooked sausage in each bun when ready. Brush with any remaining barbecue sauce.
Top the sausages evenly with coleslaw, and enjoy!
